Men and abortion, the Forgotten Fathers

Men do care.  For every woman out there who chooses an abortion, there is a man who has been affected.  He may react differently (or seemingly, not at all), but men hurt too and their lives are changed forever when an abortion is performed.

Many years ago, we received a donation of a baby book that had been purchased at a thrift shop.  Imagine my shock when  I opened it up to find an inscription inside the front cover that read “I’m sorry my baby, your mum is a killer, she has never loved you and she changed her mind every day.  Adieu, Your Dad.”

I can barely conceive the anguish that man felt at he penned this note to his unborn child, probably his only way of allowing himself to feel the pain inside his heart.  This simple note tells me that men hurt after an abortion.
