Leading Cause of Death in African American Community
There is an African provers which says, ” No one knows whose womb holds the chief.” You never know who your child may grow up to be, and what gifts they may bring to the world. It’s been said that if people waited until everything was “just right” to have a baby, very few would ever have one. Having a baby is a life-altering experience. Parenting is the most difficult job you will ever love. The joys outweigh the pain.
If you are experiencing a crisis pregnancy, eliminate the crisis–not the pregnancy.
Abortion is the leading cause of death in the African American community. More than heart disease, cancer, accidents, violence, HIV and all other causes combined. Abortion not only ends the life of the baby, it deeply wounds the mother. Studies indicate that many women who choose abortion experience emotional trauma in the years following, which can negatively impact their health and future relationships. Abortion is not a quick fix.
Adoption is a loving option. To place a child for adoption is to give the gift of life to the baby and the gift of a baby to a loving family. As part of the adoption process, you can choose who will parent your child from a list of loving, eagerly awaiting families.
Aren’t you glad the birth-mothers of Keyshia Cole (R & B singer), Daunte Culpepper (NFL player), DMC (of RUN-DMC), Montell Jordan (R & B singer), Stephen Jobs (Apple Computer co-founder) and Dave Thomas (Wendy’s restaurants founder) all chose life for their babies and then placed them for adoption?
Aren’t you glad your mother chose life for you?
You don’t have to go through this alone, we can help.
